Hello, my darlings! You've come to the right place if you'd like a chance to win A NOTORIOUS COUNTESS CONFESSES e-ARC! Just leave a comment—say hi, or tell me how the weather is in your neck of the woods—and I'll draw a winner at random from all the commenters and post the winner's name tomorrow morning. You only need to leave one comment, and you have until Midnight, EST tonight to comment! xoxo...Julie
Update from Julie, 11:20 a.m., 8/20: We got this morning's scheduling snafu straightened out, and you can now read an exclusive excerpt and comment on Ex Libris (http://www.stella-exlibris.com/2012/08/exclusive-excerpt-from-notorious.html) for a chance to win an e-ARC!! So once you leave your comment here, be sure to pop over to Ex Libris. Thanks, girls!
(I found a spot earlier showing Ex
Libris's favorite blogs and had
the giveaway listed. I left an
entry in a spot shown, so if you find two entries from me that's
what happened!)
Much nicer weather in Houston today! Temps down a bit and,
best of all, the humidity was
down!

Just thinking that if I lived in Pennyroyal Green, I would probably work at Miss Marietta Endicott's Academy for Girls, but I would want to spend my evenings at the Pig and Thistle.

By way of a contest-hopeful comment, I thought I'd tell you the first sentence of yours that stopped me cold because the simile was so apt and evocative. From WIDFAD: "It was unexpected and he nearly stumbled; it was like inadvertently staring at his fingers during a pianoforte piece and losing his place." That sentence taught me to savor your prose. Thank you for it, and all the other gems!

Very nice day in northern Minnesota. My granddaughters convinced pappa that he should take us out on the boat tonight. The lake was as smooth as glass.

What a relief to discover I haven't lost my mind and there really wasn't a place to comment on the ex libris blog.
